About R.E.A.P.

Redeem Enrichment Academic Place is a community dedicated to serving returning veterans

NO VETERAN LEFT BEHIND

OUR VISION

To provide resources for every veteran faced with homelessness, mental illness including PTSD, those who are ex-offenders and those returning from war (OIF/OEF) who require assistance acclimating to a civilian lifestyle.

Our FOUNDER

R.E.A.P.’s CEO and founder Larry D. Mannings Sr. has a strong military background. He served in combat in Vietnam as paratrooper with the famed 101st Airborne Division & was awarded the Purple Heart. He draws a lot of strength, courage, fortitude and persistence from his military experience and more importantly from his relationship with God. He is very familiar with the traumas that war can bring about as he has experienced them firsthand. This was therefore the catalyst for his drive to aid for veterans who are faced with challenges. Not only does he possess a servant’s heart, but he is also naturally compassionate and sensitive to our veterans who have served us well in the military. Mr. Mannings feels strongly that anyone who is a part of R.E.A.P. must first have that same compassion for veterans.

WHAT WE DO

WORK RE-INTEGRATION

Many Veterans are returning home from war zones. We at R.E.A.P. understand, that before you can place any Veteran into a civilian workplace environment or an educational institution, we must first assess their cognitive ability and strongly encourage them to be screened for PTSD.

SPIRITUAL- EDIFICATION

R.E.A.P. helps Veterans from all religious backgrounds. Love & Compassion are the center and core values of our organization as well as our programs. We believe that love and compassion will empower our Veterans not only to find inner peace but to live a successful life.

SECURE- HOUSING

Having a safe transitional housing environment which includes a successful rehabilitation program will help prevent future crimes and reduce the high rate of recidivism and homelessness among our Veterans. R.E.A.P.’s passion and goal is to provide that residential home with an atmosphere of wholesomeness and serenity which are both conducive for the restoration of our Veterans.

SKILLS- DEVELOPMENT

Giving our Veterans a second chance in life requires meaningful job skills and training for them to have the confidence entering back into a civilian work environment. The assistance with job skill assessments and career counseling are also often very advantageous to our Veterans’ success.
